3-ingredient ube recipe
Prep Time: 15 mins | Freeze Time: overnight | Yield: half a gallon
It's been a minute, but I'm back y'all. A new job and planning a wedding has taken up most of 2022, but jumping on here to share a recipe with no machine, no excessive churning required ice cream recipe. I've been seeing this trick on social media so naturally, I had to try it out and see what the craze is all about for myself, but make it Filipino. I have cans of ube flavored condensed milk that I had been wracking my brain on a recipe to use for, so this was a great opportunity to use it.
This recipe can be easily modified for more traditional flavors. The base of it is the condensed milk and heavy whipping cream. Swap the ube flavor for good 'ole vanilla extract and you got yourself a vanilla base ice cream. Go crazy with add ons - like oreos for cookies and cream, stir in cocoa powder for chocolate, or whatever else feels right - and you got yourself any flavor! Just what we need for the recent heat waves across the country!

Ingredients
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 14-ounce can of ube flavored condensed milk
1/2 tablespoon ube flavor (I use this one, link to Amazon, not commissioned)
Instructions
Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, place whipping cream and ube flavor in a medium bowl.
Whip together cream and ube flavor until soft peaks form (about 5 minutes on medium speed).
Caution: ube flavor stains!!
Once soft peaks have formed, use a spatula to scrape sides of bowl to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
Mix in the ube-flavored condensed milk. Whip for another 2 minutes on medium speed.
Put in freezer-safe container and freeze overnight.
Enjoy!
Note: as mentioned above, to make a regular vanilla base, swap the ube-flavored condensed milk for regular condensed milk and switch ube flavor for vanilla. Add in any other toppings or flavoring to make different ice cream flavors!
