Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 5 mins | Yield: about 1 1/2 cups
It is Fourth of July holiday which means summer is finally here and the grills are likely firing up soon.
I'm sharing my barbecue sauce recipe, which I developed during the first of the handful of pandemic Fourth of July celebrations at home. We learned how to smoke meats during that time and of course, had to come up with a sauce to match! This takes no time to make and could be used as a marinade, a glaze during cooking, or a sauce for eating. Have a safe and wonderful Fourth of July holiday!
Ingredients
1/2 cup spicy brown mustard
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup white vinegar (alternatively, you can use 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar instead of 1/4 cup of each type of vinegar)
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
Stir until sugar dissolves and sauce starts to simmer.
Enjoy! (Told you it was easy!) Use as a marinade, as a baste, or as a dip!
